We moved to the beautiful town of Midhurst, West Sussex, six years ago, following the decision to raise our two children in the countryside, rather than Croydon, where I myself had grown up. Whilst it took me a long time to get used to how dark it was at night and to accept that a decent pair of wellies were a necessity, rather than a fashion choice, it is a decision that neither myself or my husband has regretted.

I have always loved painting and spent much of my childhood sketching drawing (often during lessons, when I should have been concentrating on the actual subject)
